Like all expecting parents, we had a lot of important decisions including whether to bank our baby's umbilical cord blood or not. From various media in our obstetrician's clinic, we were repeatedly reminded of 'once-in-a-lifetime chance' to save the baby's umbilical cord blood for possible use for treatment later in life.
